The term "diaspora" can refer to the movement of the population from its original homeland. In this case we refer to Enugu Diaspora village as to indigenes of Enugu in other parts of the world.

The proposal has taken into consideration the fact that a group of people have left Enugu in search of greener pastures. In doing so, they have left their homeland. This project is to let those group of people know that they are not forgotten. Enugu and its people still loves them and because they have not been around for a while, they may have lost tack of how to get a good piece of land or where to invest in property or business. This scheme therefore is to help as many of Enugu citizens that have not been resident in Enugu to come home and invest.
